Artistic Journey, Steps Gleam with Brilliance

Departure: Irene Chang Studio

Huaxinhui's parent-child art journey begins warmly in Irene Chang studio, which is full of artistic culture. In the spacious and bright studio, every artwork on the wall tells the story of artist Irene Chang's life process, covering the essence of Chinese culture and the colorful colors of Western painting. She has lived in cities such as Taipei, Hong Kong, New York, and Paris, where different regions have provided her with different energy sources to nourish and enrich her life experiences. In her works, there are works that focus on delicate Chinese techniques, as well as reflections drawn from history and the present, and paintings that carry the love of interaction between parents and children.

On the wall of the studio painting area, there is a triptych painting called "Tranquility III", which is 1.8 meters high and nearly 4 meters wide. When approaching a painting, one will feel a sense of tranquility and tenderness. In the past, when Irene Chang handled the details of her paintings, she would depict bamboo leaves at multiple levels, and the details of bamboo leaves would bring exquisite and detailed feelings. However, this painting has few bamboo leaves, but through the depth and layering of bamboo stems, it takes the viewer into a deep and dark bamboo forest, imagining the environment we are not visible in the dark indigo blue scene. It has a profound power of encapsulation, and a sense of stability arises spontaneously.

This tranquility has always been in Irene Chang 's heart, and her children have given her the best feedback. He asked his mother, saying: Mom's bamboo paintings are all beautiful, but can they be taller and wider? It's like I'm surrounded by the bamboo forest you drew.

Irene Chang also had a flash of inspiration and decided to paint the largest painting so far, the widest forest scenery. In addition to the power and tranquility portrayed in the painting, one can also feel that Irene Chang carries love and dedication towards children when depicting the artwork. She hopes to depict the scene that children crave and unintentionally pours a lot of care and heart into it. The gentle and tranquil power is like the mother of the earth, constantly caring for us in our living environment.

Through this Huaxinhui parent-child art event, Irene Chang hopes to share with more families that the close interaction and expression of love between parents and children are the strongest support and driving force for continuous progress!

Dialogue: Xiao Art Space

The third stop is to delve into the studio of artist Chen Xiaosong. A deep dialogue about concreteness and mental imagery unfolds here. Artists share their explorations and insights into art and life, and sincere communication is touching. This is not only an artistic dialogue, but also an enlightenment on how to perceive the world with heart and express life through art.

Enlightenment: Guanyuan culture

Museum of Ancient Cultural Relics, Calligraphy and Painting Restoration

The final destination is the Restoration Museum located within the Guanyuan Cultural. Faced with cultural relics that have gone through the vicissitudes of time and have been broken and damaged but have finally been revitalized, the members of the museum are all amazed by the superb skills and perseverance of the restorers. This visit is more like a life philosophy class: those seemingly irreparable "broken" pieces, as long as they are cherished with unwavering faith, watered with time, heart, and patience, can eventually regain their authenticity and beauty - this realization becomes the most precious gift of the day.

Irene Chang: Sketching the Poetry of Life in Colors

Irene Chang graduated with a Bachelor of Economics (BA) from Columbia University in New York and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Harvard Business School.

Immersed in traditional Chinese painting art since childhood, at the age of ten, he learned from Mr. Sun Yunsheng, the eldest disciple of Zhang Daqian and the successor of Dafeng Hall, and established a profound foundation in Chinese painting. After more than a decade of hiatus, she reinterpreted the classic theme of bamboo through oil painting. Since 2010, she has created a diverse range of bamboo forest series, gradually shifting from delicate and meticulous brushwork to grand and majestic expression. Her artistic evolution is closely intertwined with philosophical reflections on life.

After holding her first solo exhibition in 2019, her works quickly gained international attention, especially at the Shanghai West Bund Art Fair in recent years, which has been favored by collectors worldwide. His works have been collected by art institutions and private collectors in Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia, the United Kingdom, France, Switzerland, the United States, etc.

Her cross-border life achieved a romantic migration from economics to art. Her creation is a romantic encounter between Eastern and Western aesthetics. Gazing at her paintings, one can feel a calm power flowing. That is a dialogue between wind and shadow, a fusion of Western techniques and Eastern interests. She opens up her thoughts on life, self reflection, sincere emotions, and even struggles on the canvas.

Huaxinhui Echoes: Connecting Healing Blossoms

This artistic journey has stirred unique ripples in the hearts of every participant.

Lu Sheng, the initiator of Huaxinhui and Vice President and Secretary General of the Shanghai Association of European and American Students in the United States, shared: "Today, I have been moved by the word 'light' multiple times. It is hidden in my works, in my soul, and in time. Every day I strive for my dreams and emotions is shining brightly.

Vency, a founding member of Huaxinhui and equity partner of Dacheng (Shanghai) Law Firm, recalled, "The first time I saw Irene Chang showcase her artistic talent was when she sang an aria at the Fosun Art Center. When I sighed about how a Harvard Business School top student could translate her hobbies so professionally, I realized that her artistic talent was not only that. She was the purest and most beautiful imagination of my love for art in my heart. As she said, 'Radiance and beauty, that expectation of life, my life is all in it.

Melody, founding member of Huaxinhui and co-founder and CEO of DavidHugh, sighed: "She opened her heart and presented joy, anger, sadness, happiness, and struggle truthfully. Standing in front of Irene Chang 's paintings, there is a wonderful feeling that people will unconsciously calm down and have a moment of solitude with themselves. Find your inner peace, what a rare opportunity. ”

Although the art journey has ended, the light ignited by art, sharing and sincere connection will continue to illuminate the heart of Hua Xin Hui sisters. In Irene Chang 's paintings and stories, we witness how love endows life with dazzling brilliance, how it leads people to cross barriers, and live in the most authentic way. In the wisdom of ancient artifact restoration, we have come to understand the importance of accepting "imperfections" with a gentle heart and repairing "broken" with resilience. Time and patience will eventually bring forth the brilliance of life.

Thank Irene Chang for opening the door of the studio with the enthusiasm of an artist and leading Huaxinhui sisters and the second generation of Chinese into a rich and healing art world. Thank you also for the sponsorship of brands such as Liangrang and Mashi Farm, which allows everyone to enjoy a unique experience in the dual feast of visual and taste.

May these seeds sown in the journey of art take root and sprout in the hearts of the second generation of Chinese: let them understand that no matter what cultural context they are in, art can be used as a bridge to record the confusion and joy of growth, and express their observations and reflections on the world. And learn to deconstruct the world with an artistic perspective, capturing traces of beauty from everyday light and shadow.

May all members of the group embrace the beautiful insights and inner strength they have found in their artistic journey, and continue to paint their own unique "light" and "expectation" on the vast canvas of their lives with love as their pen and persistence as their ink, with heart.

Because when the light of art illuminates the soul - broken can be restored, ordinary can eventually become poetry.
