Life Balance Awareness – cobranding x House of C
Growing up, we were taught and learned that humans are just one of the millions of living organisms residing on this earth. The Earth is estimated to be around 4.54 billion years old, and mankind only came in the picture about 6 million years ago. If we describe the history of Earth in 24 hours, then humans only came in the last second, and our modern society only started less than a milli-second ago. It is clear that we don’t own the Earth, and we are the lucky species to enjoy earth as the primary ruler/guardian of it. Unfortunately, in the last 150 years, after witnessing the benefits we reaped from industrial revolution and technological innovations, which brought us abundance of food that is enough to feed the whole world, our greed to take more than what we need for survival has thus been exposed. Air, land, water pollution, deforestation, over-fishing and over killing animals have brought our Earth to devastation. Frequencies of natural disasters have heightened, global warming has sped up, natural resources are drying up, animals and plants around us are going into extinction faster than ever. The balance of our ecosystem has deteriorated dramatically the past 30 years and we can all see and feel the stress and pain associated. These issues concern and affect us on a daily basis, and we all can and need to help slow down the deterioration and reverse some of the negative impacts. Many of our governments, schools, and families have all been trying to raise awareness. As a global citizen and an artist, I am also trying to present my observations and concerns visually, particularly in my <A Walk in Life -OUR STORY> exhibition. I also hope to work with some corporations together to raise awareness.
I had the honor to work with Tmall’s fashionable brand “House of C” to co-brand on their super cute animal design thermal bottles. House of C is a socially responsible company that aims to bring the love of life, art, fashion, and animals into the design of their products. I hope these every day household products remind us of our love for life and animals and can add a positive sense and impact to our everyday actions.
